Dear friends,
Thank you for visiting this website.
Hope that the profile of SHAPEngo and its activities in regard to various socio, economic, health and education programs delineated will give you a clear picture of the principles for which the organization stands for and is actively working. Your attention is particularly drawn to thousands of AIDS orphaned children and marginalized women who are the worst affected .Therefore, there is an urgent need to address their problems immediately. This needs the active support of all kind-hearted people in view of the magnitude of the program. I strongly believe that a good number of people would definitely come forward to lend their helping hand to make our endeavor a great success. However meager your contribution may be, it will add to the whole to bring light and happiness to ones who are in the clutches of privation.
Cordially yours,
A. Parthiban

Mr. Parthiban (in the picture – far right) is a dedicated social worker who has functioned in different areas of the humanitarian sector including Health, Community Development and Human Resources. Being an Indian Dalit child during the 1970s put him through some of the worst adversities any low caste person faced during those times. He soon realized that economic freedom could be the key to uplift his life. After spending his youth as an entrepreneur, he established SHAPE in 1987 to lawfully channel the necessary resources out of his own pocket to improve other low caste children like him. In the beginning, he encouraged the low caste youth of northern Tamil Nadu through career guidance training programmes. Many social activists saw his progress and joined hands with SHAPE. This widened SHAPE’s focus to other developmental aspects like child rights, women rights, environmental action, and community health. He also worked as a consultant assisting the formation of several developmental agencies in the Northern Part of Tamil Nadu. He is one of the founder partners of NOVA (Network of Voluntary Associations – Tiruvannamalai) and one of the founding members of Annamalai Reforestation Society – Tiruvannamalai).
