What do we do through this project?
We provide education and health supplements to 450 children who are low-caste, orphaned, victims of HIV, physically challenged, and suffer from other social/physical illnesses.
SHAPE feels that child education is the best solution to have a positive impact on them and ensuring better opportunities for a dignified, safe, and happier life and emphasizing this concept through Child Education and Health Development Project. It is common to say in everyday life that, whatever we are doing, is for the sake of our children. But, if we take a close look at the world emerging out of the action of the present generation, we see a frightening picture of rising inequalities, violence, stress, and environmental ruin. All this will increase the levels of torment and stress for the next generation-for our own children and grandchildren. We need to get serious about changing their development path and making long-overdue corrections on social protection and other important needs. Through this project, Aid is provided in the form of food, clothing , medical care, and free literacy to the deserving school going children including the children of HIV/AIDS/SIDA victims by SHAPE. This project is aimed to eradicate poverty through literacy and proper hygiene practices that positively impact community health and welfare towards a secured and dignified societal environment. SHAPE integrates student communities into mainstream society to build up a bright and harmonious future. We run literacy centers where the less fortunate children (out of school children, rescued laborers, orphans, poor, HIV infected/affected, and slum children) are given education along with health supplements.
We have adopted and provide services to a Public Library in Vadaandapattu Village which lies in the center of the district. Infrastructure, Maintenance, and Books are being provided as services to this library. We mainly have a collection of free college books, which are otherwise commercial, for underprivileged college students who study courses such as Management, Economics, Engineering, Arts, and Science. Alumni of various college courses contribute their books for this library from all over the state. We also provide English skill-building books for adults & children of all ages. Unemployed and job seeking youth find this library highly useful for developing their soft skills. Contribute today to expand our collection of books.
